Not to be confused with the weedy annual chickweed from Eurasia (Stellaria media), field chickweed is a fine native perennial for dry, sunny gardens. It forms a dense, spreading mat of narrow, grayish-green leaves, with large white flowers that attract pollinators. This plant is drought tolerant and well suited for low maintenance landscapes.
