Nodding Onion (Allium cernuum)

Nodding onion is a herbaceous perennial growing from a bulb, with grass-like leaves and nodding umbels of pink to white bell-shaped flowers that are attractive to bees and other pollinators. The entire plant has an onion-like scent, and is a great addition to permaculture gardens, edible landscapes, and rock gardens. The plants can form dense clusters over time, and are happiest when grown in full sun and well-drained soil.

Soil & Moisture: Moist to seasonally dry, well-drained soil. Can grow in rocky, sandy or clay soils. Drought tolerant once established.
Mature Size: 6"-20" tall
