



Nodding Onion (Allium cernuum)
Nodding onion is a herbaceous perennial growing from a bulb, with grass-like leaves and nodding umbels of pink to white bell-shaped flowers that are attractive to bees and other pollinators. The entire plant has an onion-like scent, and is a great addition to permaculture gardens, edible landscapes, and rock gardens. The plants can form dense clusters over time, and are happiest when grown in full sun and well-drained soil.
