Pearly Everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea)

Sale price$8.00

Pearly everlasting is an easy to grow, drought tolerant perennial that can handle a variety of conditions, thriving in full sun and poor soils. Clusters of papery white bracts surround small yellow flowers, and are accented by attractive, silvery-green foliage. It has a rhizomatous habit, and can spread vigorously in optimal conditions, filling in space in the garden with its soft charm. The flowers attract many pollinators including native bees and butterflies, and are also loved by florists as a cut flower, either fresh or dried, as the blooms hold their shape and colour well. Pearly everlasting is excellent for pollinator gardens, cut flower gardens, xeric and low maintenance gardens, and for erosion control on dry rocky slopes.
