Threeleaf Foamflower (Tiarella trifoliata var. trifoliata)

Sale price$6.00

Threeleaf foamflower is a lovely, small perennial, commonly found in shady, moist coniferous forests. It is an excellent, well-behaved plant for shady gardens, with neat compound basal leaves, and sprays of tiny, delicate white flowers held above the foliage on short, wiry stems. Threeleaf foamflower is especially impactful in group plantings. It grows from rhizomes, but does not spread aggressively; it is more likely to self-seed to form an attractive groundcover.

Note: There are several variations of this species with differing leaf structure; currently we only sell the most common variety with three leaflets, which is slightly different than the plants pictured.
